Forest School and Eco School

The Global Green Team was proud to be awarded Ambassador Status by Eco Schools England in 2017.

During our tenure Whitchurch School has worked closely with other schools and community groups. We have provided information, training and facilities for outdoor learning, Forest School and community based fund- raising and information sharing opportunities. We strive to ensure sustainability is embedded at the heart of the curriculum. GGT members regularly hold meetings and lead assemblies in order to share ideas and promote good practice surrounding all nine areas of the ECO schools agenda.

Tips, related to sustainability, which promote and raise the profile of projects such as Operation Christmas Child, Walk on Wednesdays or Energy, Healthy or Recycling Week, are advertised through the weekly newsletter. We hope these small actions will ripple outwards raising awareness of the importance of sustainability, and effect a change in the community both locally and further afield.
